Child Aid is an efficient, cost-effective organization. We focus our work where the need is greatest to make a significant and lasting difference in children’s lives. We take our responsibility to donors very seriously, ensuring that their support goes to the people who need it most. With the help of volunteers and a hard-working staff, we minimize our overhead and maximize impact. We consider our supporters direct partners who help us build brighter futures for children in Latin America.
Our Efficiency
In 2012, over 88 percent of donor contributions went directly to Child Aid programs—that is, toward helping children gain fundamental literacy skills and educational opportunity.
Our Transparency
We undergo independent financial audits every year, and we make these reports available online, along with our tax returns, for our supporters to see. Furthermore, we invite key donors to personally visit our program in Guatemala. We want as many supporters as possible to meet our staff and witness the impact of their contributions firsthand.
