Community
- A community is created when individuals with common interests come together. Whether you come from the United States, Guatemala, Mexico or some other country, the common interest is improving the lives of children in Latin America. And we can do this by working together, and by working with the indigenous individuals and groups that are removing barriers to education.You may have come to this interest through travel, friends, residence, or just a human recognition that we all benefit when we care for our neighbor’s families – just as we would want others to care for ours. Regardless of how you personally came to this point, we have many ways in which you can join in our work.
While we hope that you will consider supporting Child Aid with a donation, we also encourage other forms of partnership and support from our growing community of like-minded friends.
Volunteer
– Our volunteer program helps us to keep our overhead low, while at the same time bringing the human and technical resources that are needed by our partners in Latin America. Our volunteers have ranged from skilled librarians, teachers, audiologists and computer experts to individuals with no specialty who wanted to give of themselves to help others. Read more
GIK
– Gifts In Kind have allowed Child Aid to provide hundreds of thousands of books, large numbers of computers, school supplies and hearing aids to our partners in Latin America. GIK help us defray costs, and we are always looking for new resources that support childhood and even adult education.Contact us

– One of our greatest assets is our willingness and ability to meet changing needs and circumstances. In turn, we are always looking for input and suggestions that can help us to improve our work.
