Special Funding Opportunities
Child Aid currently has two matching grants that will allow you to double the impact of any donation you make to Child Aid. These are special opportunities for giving that will allow your support to have a far greater impact.
CORAL – Child Aid has a matching grant of $49,000 for work with hearing-impaired children in Oaxaca, Mexico. For example, if you were to give $100 or $1,000 designated for CORAL, this donation would be matched and your donation would be doubled to $200 or $2,000. Click here to read about CORAL.
FUNDIT – Child Aid has a matching grant of $5,000 for the operating expenses of FUNDIT (The Foundation for the Integral Development of El Tejar). El Tejar is an extremely poor community in rural Guatemala. These funds provide support for CEDIN, the Montessori-type preschool, scholarships to keep students in school and funding for library reading programs and music programs.
This matching grant works a little differently in that the match is for increased contributions over the prior year for current donors and contributions from new donors. For example, if you are a new FUNDIT donor and were to give $100 or $1,000 designated for FUNDIT, this donation would be matched and your donation would be doubled to $200 or $2,000. If you gave to FUNDIT last year, then any increase over last year’s donation would be matched. So if you gave $50 last year and gave $100 this year, then the $50 increase in your donation would be matched and your donation would be $150. Click here to read about FUNDIT.
