Senior Advisor – Monitoring and Evaluation
1. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Activities:
NOTE: These activities include:
- Student testing as new geographic areas are added, to assess program effectiveness
- Student testing in “graduated” schools, to assess sustainability of program
- Teacher performance assessment, using the Stallings Classroom Snapshot instrument, to assess changes in teacher behavior
- Comparative progression and graduation rates from Child Aid and non-Child Aid schools
- Performance rubrics for Literacy Trainer staff and teachers for quality improvement
- Oversee and provide support to ensure the continued quality implementation of these assessment activities, including scheduling; hiring; training; data collection and data entry.
- Make suggestions as to changes and/or additions to the M&E activities
- Collaborate with external statistical consultants on data analysis and interpretation.
- Responsibility for spearheading timely write-up of data results as technical reports or publishable manuscripts, synthesizing findings and insights
2. Curriculum Development and Support:
- Collaborate on the development of curriculum for Girls Clubs, integrating components such as social-emotional development and exploration of aspirations.
- Develop questionnaires and scales, as needed, to assess efficacy of the Girls Clubs in achieving goals as appropriate to the curriculum
- Identify and address barriers to further education, particularly for students transitioning from primary to secondary education.
3. Technical Reporting, Data Quality and Documentation:
- Assist in problem-solving efforts including addressing challenges in data collection and database management
- Oversee and support the documentation and knowledge management of program activities, results, and lessons learned for internal and external communication purposes.
4. Strategic Consultation and Professional Development:
- Serve as a strategic thought partner and consultant to senior program staff.
- Collaborate with staff to identify topics for professional development that align with program goals and objectives.
- Assist staff in developing plans for program sustainability, ensuring continued impact after Child Aid’s involvement.
REQUIREMENT: Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
SALARY RANGE: $60-70,000 U.S.
