The need is great in Guatemala where many indigenous children live in abject poverty. Child Aid helps kids learn lifesaving skills – reading and writing. By providing hundreds of thousands of new Spanish-language books, our organization provides the building blocks from which a child can build a better life for themselves, their families and their nation. Since 2010, Child Aid has delivered more than 800,000 new books to hundreds of elementary schools. Coupled with intense teacher training, our literacy program transforms the education young kids receive, helping them become future doctors, poets, scientists, teachers and leaders.
