This year’s Child Aid Visionary Award goes to Richard Carroll. Rick is the passionate co-founder of the Child Aid non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for Latin America’s rural and indigenous poor through childhood literacy and education programs. It was Rick’s insight that led Child Aid to work directly in public primary schools. Rick has been instrumental in guiding Child Aid strategically and by shepherding the finances and development efforts since 1988. His wisdom and passion for Child Aid’s success has been invaluable. Rick firmly believes that together with Child Aid’s incredible and committed donor community, the organization can serve thousands more Guatemalan communities for years to come.
