Other ways to donate
Donate Stocks and Securities
Many donors find that there are significant tax advantages to the contribution of stocks and securities, especially those that have appreciated in value. If you would like more information, please contact Pete Noll, Chief Development Officer, at pete.noll@child-aid.org or by phone at 503-223-3008.
Donate Through Your IRA
A charitable gift from your IRA at age 70½ or older is a smart way to skip the taxes associated with RMDs and make a big difference for the work of Child Aid. For more information, Pete Noll, Chief Development Officer, at pete.noll@child-aid.org or by phone at 503-223-3008.
Give Directly through DAF account
If you have a Donor-Advised Fund at Fidelity, Schwab, or BNY Mellon you can use DAF Direct to recommend a grant directly to Child Aid. Or contact Pete Noll, Chief Development Officer, at pete.noll@child-aid.org or by phone at 503-223-3008.
How to use DAF Direct:
- Select where you’d like to donate from and the amount.
- Click “NEXT” and you will be taken to the login page of your specific DAF.
- Upon logging in, the grant specifications you fill out on this page will be pre-populated to allow for a simplified process. You will then complete the grant recommendation. Once completed, you can log out of your DAF account.
- Once the grant recommendation is made, it will go through the sponsoring organization’s normal grant review process.
- After the grant recommendation is approved, funds will be distributed to Child Aid, either via check or electronic funds transfer.
