How it works

Child Aid’s teacher training program is a proven approach to addressing illiteracy. In the rural communities where Child Aid works, many indigenous children average fewer than four years in school. They struggle to learn to read and write, and gain the skills they will need to thrive. Child Aid’s teacher training program gives teachers the strategies and techniques they need to help their students learn to read, write and think critically, giving them the skills they need to change their lives.
Each teacher trained by Child Aid is able to teach their classes of twenty to thirty students, which over the course of their careers can equal hundreds of students leaving their classes with the skills the need to succeed.
Your sponsorship makes a direct impact on the teachers entering our training program, giving them the skills and resources they need to succeed.
Legacy giving is one of the many ways to make a lasting impact on the lives of children. Below are other great ways to get involved.
