Leave a legacy
What is Legacy Giving?
A planned or “legacy” gift is any gift made as part of your overall financial and/or estate planning. Leaving a legacy gift to Child Aid ensures we can serve children today, tomorrow, and well into the future. Members of our Legacy Society help secure our future as an organization, and they enable us to make a lasting difference by providing children with the skills and resources they need to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.
How it Works
Your legacy gift can take many forms, but the most common is a bequest in your will. A bequest is flexible and tailored to meet your specific needs and interests, and It is often as simple as adding a few sentences to your will or living trust. Bequeath property, stocks, specific items, an amount of money or percentage of your estate. You can also list Child Aid among the beneficiaries on a life insurance policy.
Your financial advisor can offer many other options for supporting the organizations you value most, and they can tell you more about the tax advantages of planned giving.
“As long-time donors, we know that Child Aid instills in children a passion for reading. We were moved to include Child Aid in our will.”
